Counter the Effects of General Anesthesia with Fat

Updated: Jan 5, 2020

Recent studies have shown that the brain can be impacted from general anesthesia possibly increasing the chances of one getting Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, with the young developing brain and aging brain potentially being even more vulnerable. But there are steps you can take both before and after surgery to protect your brain from this impact.

The brain is over 70% fat and cholesterol for a reason….to protect the brain cells and neurological connections. Doctors have known for decades that toxins store in fat so when environmental poisons and medications such as anesthesia pass through the brain, the fat acts like a buffer disallowing these toxins to damage neurons. Unfortunately, we are not getting enough healthy fat into our body so when we are exposed to poisons, the body can pull fat from the brain if needed. Eating healthy raw unheated fats before and after surgery keeps fat circulating in the bloodstream so the medications that are put into the bloodstream are buffered by the fat in the bloodstream, thus protecting the brain and other organs from the toxic effects of the anesthetic medications. Continuing to eat the fat during the entire healing process will also expedite the elimination of other medications from the body such as narcotics taken for post-surgical pain while also soothing nerve endings reducing pain levels.

I love the raw milk milkshakes both before and after surgery. The raw milk and raw eggs provide the healthy raw fat to protect the brain and raw protein to assist in the rebuilding of new cells that have been damaged or destroyed during surgery and by the toxic medications of the anesthetics. Because raw unpasteurized dairy is used in the recipe, the negative ions of the raw food binds with the toxins of the positively charged medications and cellular debris to cleanse them from the body.

Milk Shakes

 2-3 Raw eggs

12 -14 oz raw unpasteurized milk

Blend in blender then add flavor of choice:

Ice Cream:

1 large raw egg

1 cup raw cream

3/4 cup raw milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Raw unheated Honey to taste ( I put about 2 heaping tablespoons honey in the recipe, but blend it and taste it and if you need more you can put that in.
